Editorial Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
This policy describes how content on Swipey AI is researched, written, reviewed and corrected. We publish it because trust in this category has to be earned, not claimed.
Sourcing
Factual claims are tied to sources a reader can open and check. We prioritise, in roughly this order: peer-reviewed research, government and regulatory bodies, established non-profits, and reporting from outlets with a track record. We avoid citing anonymous forums or other affiliate pages as if they were evidence.
How we handle uncertainty
Companion-AI research is young and the findings often disagree. Where that happens, we present the disagreement instead of flattening it. A study showing a benefit and a study showing a harm can both be true for different people, and we try to say which is which.
Independence and commercial relationships
Swipey AI earns money, including through the affiliate arrangements described in our disclaimer . That funding never decides the conclusion of an article. We name risks in our own product category, and we do it openly, because hiding them would make the rest of the writing worthless.
Review and corrections
- Each guide is checked for accuracy against its sources before publication.
- Material on health, money or safety gets a second read, because the cost of an error is higher.
- Spotted a mistake? Email [email protected] . We fix confirmed errors quickly and note significant changes with a revised date.
